News24 – Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more goals than Tony Pulis’ teams in the last 11 seasons
======================================
 When it comes to football discussion, Cristiano Ronaldo and Tony Pulis are very rarely mentioned in the same conversation.   One is a world-class superstar who’s spent his career winning trophies for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, while the other has often been battling relegation as a Premier League manager.  Therefore, it’s quite unfair to compare stats between the pair – but one that has come to light this week is just too funny to ignore.   Over the past 11 seasons, Pulis has managed four different clubs, both in the Premier League and the Championship.   During that time, his teams have scored a total of 521 goals. For a manager often fighting either in mid-table or towards the bottom of the top flight, that’s not too bad.  EasyJet defend UCL flight prices Rooney: Players need to fear Solskjaer Barca’s potential starting XI in 2019/20  But compared to Ronaldo’s goalscoring stats, Pulis’ become rather embarrassing.  That’s because the Portuguese star has scored 542 goals himself in the same amount of time.   Ronaldo, on his own, has scored more times than every player under Pulis combined in the last 11 years. Astonishing – and credit to journalist Richard Jolly, who took the time to work out the stat.  Since 2008, Pulis has had spells at four different teams – Stoke City, Crystal Palace, West Brom and Middlesbrough.   Come the start of next season, it’s likely the Welshman will be in charge somewhere else, as Middlesbrough announced they have parted with Pulis on Friday.   That decision came after he failed to guide the club to the Championship Playoffs.   On the same day, Juventus also announced that their current boss, Massimiliano Allegri, will not be in charge next season either.   Could Pulis be on his way to Italy to finally link up with Ronaldo? Almost certainly not.  Although, he’d love a player like CR7 in his next team, given how many goals the forward has scored compared to those in Pulis’ teams.    But, could Ronaldo do it on a cold, rainy night in… oh, forget it.
