The large SUV was quite an overhaul compared to its predecessor and introduced a far more modern exterior and interior.\n\nThis year Peugeot adds a new variant to the 3008 line-up: the HYbrid4 which is available in two engine options: a 225-hp version and a top-of-the-line 300-hp version!\n\nWe get to drive the 300-hp version, which has an astonishing amount of power on tap. This is all thanks to no less than 3 engines that are located inside the car: one very powerful 1.6 liter petrol engine and another 2 electric motors that not only add a lot of power and torque but give the car instant power. That makes this hybrid SUV Peugeot’s most powerful and fastest accelerating car that the brand has ever produced up until now. With a combined output of 300 hp and a whopping 520 Newtonmeters of torque the car pushes you back into the seat with a great force. When you floor it from a standstill it hits 100 km/h in an indicated 5.9 seconds which is amazingly quick for such a large car. Only its top speed of 235 km/h is exceeded by some GTi’s by Peugeot.\n\nIronically the car is also very, very economical to drive with as it is still a plug-in hybrid and thus can be driven fully electric. When driving economically it can drive up to 31 miles in full electric mode. Less economical but still very impressive is that it can drive on the highway at speeds of up to 135 km/h which is quite fast but will drain the battery more quickly.\n\nCharging the car when needed or after long travels will of course help with reducing the fuel consumption. It all makes that this car is very appealing for people who do not only want a luxurious car with ample space and modern interior but also want power on tap when it’s required. \n\nOne thing is for certain and that is that this new 3008 SUV HYbrid4 makes driving a PHEV SUV a lot more dynamic and sporty.\n\nPlease enjoy the testdrive!
